While I don't feel like I have mastered and fully optimized my play yet, here are some basic guidelines that I have found very useful:ġ. The in combat warp charge penalties can be absolutely disastrous. The out of combat warp charge penalties generally aren't a problem (usually it's the -1 max hp thing). Let it reset first if you aren't certain that you can wipe everything before it goes off. Simply put, don't engage a pod if the warp charge meter is going to go off while you are still in combat. I suspect that where a lot of players are messing up in combat is that they are doing a bad job managing the warp charge meter. Players that aren't wiping pods in one turn need to reconsider their squad compositions and strategies. You should be wiping any given pod in one turn, except bloomspawns, which are generally going to take 2-3 turns depending upon how the reinforcements go. I'm going through legendary now, and the only parts of the game that feel unfair are the interventions (because those are pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥).Ĭombat really isn't that bad, particularly as you get your guys leveled up.
